Sample the great tastes of the Black Forest with Monkey 47 Dry Gin, here with a lovely wooden box. The Black Forest in the South of Germany is known for its vast areas of natural beauty and for its tradition of great food and drink. Monkey 47’s creator Montgomery Collins, was a British officer of the Royal Air Force who opened a country gatehouse called “Zum wilden Affen” (“The Wild Monkey”) in the region in 1951. It was here that he developed the recipe for Monkey 47, which combined junipers with plant ingredients from the Black Forest area. It is this combination of botanicals and herbs which give the spirit its name as well as its rich, complex flavou.
