The Famous Grouse was created in 1897 by Matthew Gloag who had a grocery store and wine shop in Perth (Scotza). Grouse in English means partridge and is the symbol of the company’s logo. Today the Famous Grouse is the best-selling blended whiskey in Scotland and its home is in Scotland’s oldest distillery, Glenturret.
The Famous Grouse Port Cask Finish is an age-free blended Scotch whisky aged in Porto ex-wine barrels before being bottled at 40% vol.
