Arran Marcherie Moor Cask Strength Peated is an island single malt Scotch whisky. The distillery, founded in 1995, is the independent island distillery that put Arran back on the whisky map. This expression is a peated expression with gentle smoke woven through. Expect citrus, green apple and soft spice on an elegant palate. A splash of water opens it up beautifully. A dram to sip slowly, neat or with just a splash of water. Hints of honey add further depth as it opens in the glass. Try it alongside blue cheese, dried figs or a square of dark chocolate. One to open on occasions that deserve something better than the everyday.
