Caol Ila 12 Years Old is a 12 year old Islay single malt Scotch whisky. The distillery, founded in 1846, is Islay’s hidden giant on the Sound of Islay, whose elegant smoke is prized by blenders and malt lovers alike. Notes of olive oil smoothness, grilled citrus and sweet malt run through to a satisfying finish. A dram to sip slowly, neat or with just a splash of water. Hints of fresh peat smoke add further depth as it opens in the glass. It pairs beautifully with dark chocolate or a plate of aged cheese. One to open on occasions that deserve something better than the everyday.
