Macallan Gold Double Cask 70cl

Macallan Gold Double Cask is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from The Macallan, one of the world’s most prestigious single malt distilleries, famed for its exceptional oak casks and its “Six Pillars” of production.

This release is bottled at 40%.

Nose: Dried fruits, vanilla and toffee and inviting depth.
Palate: Dark chocolate, joined by orange zest, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on rich sherried sweetness.

Best enjoyed neat, with just a drop of water to unlock the full aroma. Collector’s note: a bottling with clear collector appeal. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
