Mezan rums are rums from islands or countries of the West Indies and South or Central America. They are produced from a single vintage distillation, aged in oak barrels and bottled one barrel at a time, when ready, under the supervision of the cellar master.
The rum is produced from molasses and double distilled in 2011 in a Forsyth’s copper pot still. The rum is then aged in ex-Bourbon barrels for 3 years in a tropical climate with a further 7 years of European ageing.
