Tamnavulin Double Cask Sherry Finish is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. The distillery, founded in 1966, is the “mill on the hill” of the Livet valley, producing smooth, approachable Speyside malt. This expression is matured in a marriage of two cask types for rounded complexity. Expect soft spice, mellow apple and fresh oak on a generous palate. A dram to sip slowly, neat or with just a splash of water. Hints of honey add further depth as it opens in the glass. Try it alongside blue cheese, dried figs or a square of dark chocolate. One to open on occasions that deserve something better than the everyday.
