Adelphi North British Distillery 36 Years Old Single Grain is a single malt whisky.
This release was distilled in 1987 and matured for 36 years, bottled at 47.5%, with an outturn of just 208 bottles.
Nose: Vanilla oak, honeyed sweetness and inviting depth.
Palate: Layered depth, joined by long finish, building in intensity.
Finish: Long and layered, closing on gentle spice.
Pour it slowly, add a drop of water if you like, and give it time in the glass. Collector’s note: only 208 bottles exist; whiskies of this age are only growing scarcer. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
