Ardbeg Perpetuum is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Ardbeg, a cult Islay name producing some of the peatiest yet most complex malts in Scotland.
This release is bottled at 47.4%.
Nose: Espresso, intense peat smoke and inviting depth.
Palate: Black pepper, joined by smoked bacon, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on tarry rope.
Best enjoyed neat, with just a drop of water to unlock the full aroma. Collector’s note: a bottling with clear collector appeal. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
