Balvenie 17 Years Old Peated Cask is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from The Balvenie, a byword for craftsmanship, maintaining its own floor maltings, coppersmiths and coopers to this day.

This release is bottled at 43.0%.

Nose: Gentle woodsmoke, malty depth and inviting depth.
Palate: Earthy peat, joined by soft brown sugar, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on drifting smoke.

Best enjoyed neat, with just a drop of water to unlock the full aroma. Collector’s note: a bottling with clear collector appeal. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
