Balvenie 18 Years Old Pedro Ximenez Cask Finish is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from The Balvenie, a byword for craftsmanship, maintaining its own floor maltings, coppersmiths and coopers to this day.
This release is bottled at 48.7%.
Nose: Soft brown sugar, orchard fruit and inviting depth.
Palate: Honey, joined by malty depth, building in intensity.
Finish: Long and layered, closing on gentle spice.
Pour it slowly, add a drop of water if you like, and give it time in the glass. Collector’s note: a bottling with clear collector appeal. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
