Crown Royal is a Canadian whisky. The distillery, founded in 1939, is Canada’s best-selling whisky, created to honour a royal visit and presented in its famous purple bag. Expect caramel, smooth vanilla and light fruit on an elegant palate. Equally at home neat, on the rocks, or in your favourite whisky cocktail. The generous 100cl bottle offers excellent value. Hints of delicate rye spice add further depth as it opens in the glass. Try it alongside blue cheese, dried figs or a square of dark chocolate. One to open on occasions that deserve something better than the everyday.
