Glengoyne Legacy Chapter #1 is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky. The distillery, founded in 1833, is the unhurried distillery at the Highland line, air-drying its barley and running the slowest stills in Scotland. Expect soft oak, honeyed malt and hazelnut on an elegant palate. A dram to sip slowly, neat or with just a splash of water. Hints of stewed apple add further depth as it opens in the glass. Try it alongside blue cheese, dried figs or a square of dark chocolate. One to open on occasions that deserve something better than the everyday.
