Isle Of Jura Seven Wood is an island single malt Scotch whisky. The distillery, founded in 1810, is the only distillery on the remote Isle of Jura, an island of one road, one pub and around two hundred people. Expect dried fruit, light brine and walnut on a smooth palate. A dram to sip slowly, neat or with just a splash of water. Hints of soft honey add further depth as it opens in the glass. Try it alongside blue cheese, dried figs or a square of dark chocolate. One to open on occasions that deserve something better than the everyday.
