Lagavulin 12 Years Old 2018 Special Release is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Lagavulin, one of Islay’s most revered distilleries, whose rich, deeply smoky malts define the island for many.

This release is bottled at 57.8%.

Nose: Thick peat smoke, maritime salt and inviting depth.
Palate: Lapsang tea, joined by dried fruit, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on dark chocolate.

Pour it slowly, add a drop of water if you like, and give it time in the glass. Collector’s note: a bottling with clear collector appeal. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
