This year’s inspiration draws from New Zealand, a land renowned for being among the first to greet the dawn of a new year. Here, the turning of the calendar is welcomed on the shoreline: music drifting across the sand, fireworks shimmering over the ocean, and the rising sun casting its first golden light across a hopeful horizon. It is a moment of connection, contemplation and joy, embraced as the opening chapter of a year filled with possibility.

To bring this vision to life, The Macallan partners with acclaimed New Zealand artist and illustrator Bonnie Brown. Known for her vivid digital compositions and commanding use of colour, Brown captures the radiance, energy and optimism of first light with a bold contemporary elegance, enriching this expression with artistry as distinctive as the whisky itself.

A celebration of time, tradition and the promise of tomorrow, A Night On Earth The First Light stands as a luminous tribute to the moments worth savouring and the future waiting to be shaped. The Macallan A Night On Earth – Jerez is another impressive limited edition bottling from the ‘A Night On Earth’ series which this time brings us to the homeland of sherry itself: Jerez de la Frontera. The Macallan has a long tradition of creating sherry cask-aged whisky so it was really only a matter of time before it released a single malt Scotch whisky that championed this vital connection. The Macallan A Night on Earth Jerez was aged in sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks and celebrates New Year’s Eve in Jerez, or Nocheviejo, a night full of meaning and tradition. It was bottled with natural colour at 43% ABV.
