Ardbeg 1990 Airgh Nam Beist is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 1990. It comes from Ardbeg, a cult Islay name producing some of the peatiest yet most complex malts in Scotland.
This release is bottled at 46%.
Nose: Intense peat smoke, tarry rope and inviting depth.
Palate: Smoked bacon, joined by black pepper, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on espresso.
Best enjoyed neat, with just a drop of water to unlock the full aroma. Collector’s note: a bottling with clear collector appeal. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
