Balvenie 21 Years Old Port Wood First Release is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from The Balvenie, a byword for craftsmanship, maintaining its own floor maltings, coppersmiths and coopers to this day.

This release is bottled at 40%.

Nose: Red berries and rose, gentle spice and inviting depth.
Palate: Winey dark fruit, joined by malty depth, building in intensity.
Finish: Long and layered, closing on sweet ruby warmth.

Pour it slowly, add a drop of water if you like, and give it time in the glass. Collector’s note: whiskies of this age are only growing scarcer. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
