Bowmore 25 Years Old XOP Single Cask Limited Release is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Bowmore, Islay’s oldest distillery, sitting on the shores of Loch Indaal and famed for perfectly balanced smoke and sweetness.

This release was bottled at 55.1%, with an outturn of just 576 bottles.

Nose: Sherried fruit, honey and inviting depth.
Palate: Sea air, joined by citrus, building in intensity.
Finish: Long and layered, closing on gentle peat smoke.

Pour it slowly, add a drop of water if you like, and give it time in the glass. Collector’s note: only 576 bottles exist; its single cask identity makes every bottle part of a finite run; whiskies of this age are only growing scarcer. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
