Bowmore Darkest Sherry Cask 70cl

Bowmore Darkest Sherry Cask is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Bowmore, Islay’s oldest distillery, sitting on the shores of Loch Indaal and famed for perfectly balanced smoke and sweetness.

This release is bottled at 43%.

Nose: Rich dried fruit and polished mahogany, sea air and inviting depth.
Palate: Sherried fruitcake and dark chocolate, joined by gentle peat smoke, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on lingering sherry spice.

Pour it slowly, add a drop of water if you like, and give it time in the glass. Collector’s note: a bottling with clear collector appeal. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
