Bruichladdich Octomore 5 Years Old 09.1 Edition is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Bruichladdich, Islay’s progressive distillery, championing unpeated, terroir-driven malts in its signature aqua bottles.

This release is distilled in 2012 and matured for 5 years.

Nose: Citrus, barley sweetness and inviting depth.
Palate: Floral notes, joined by green fruit, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on vanilla oak.

Best enjoyed neat, with just a drop of water to unlock the full aroma. Collector’s note: a bottling with clear collector appeal. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
