Bruichladdich Octomore 8 Years Old 08.1 Edition is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Bruichladdich, Islay’s progressive distillery, championing unpeated, terroir-driven malts in its signature aqua bottles.

This release was distilled in 2009 and matured for 8 years, bottled at 59.3%.

Nose: Vanilla oak, citrus and inviting depth.
Palate: Green fruit, joined by barley sweetness, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on floral notes.

Best enjoyed neat, with just a drop of water to unlock the full aroma. Collector’s note: a bottling with clear collector appeal. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
