Glenfarclas Private Reserve is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Glenfarclas, proudly family-owned for six generations and one of the great masters of sherry-cask maturation.
This release was bottled at 45%, with an outturn of just 9990 bottles.
Nose: Dark toffee, orange peel and inviting depth.
Palate: Oak spice, joined by Christmas cake, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on walnut.
Best enjoyed neat, with just a drop of water to unlock the full aroma. Collector’s note: only 9990 bottles exist. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
