Hatozaki 12 Years Old Umeshu Cask Finish is a blended malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Hatozaki, crafted at the Kaikyo Distillery in Akashi, named for Japan’s oldest stone lighthouse.

This release is bottled at 46%.

Nose: Gentle oak, delicate malt and inviting depth.
Palate: Light citrus, joined by pear, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on vanilla.

Best enjoyed neat, with just a drop of water to unlock the full aroma.
