Laphroaig 15 Years Old is a 15 year old Islay single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Laphroaig, the most uncompromising of Islay distilleries, whose intensely smoky, medicinal malts inspire devotion worldwide.

This release is bottled at 43%.

Nose: A surprising sweetness at the core, seaweed and iodine and inviting depth.
Palate: Sea salt, joined by tar and ash, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on sweet vanilla undertones.

Best enjoyed neat, with just a drop of water to unlock the full aroma. Collector’s note: a bottling with clear collector appeal. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
