Laphroaig 25 Years Old Cask Strength is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Laphroaig, the most uncompromising of Islay distilleries, whose intensely smoky, medicinal malts inspire devotion worldwide.

This release is bottled at 48.6%.

Nose: Bold peat smoke, a surprising sweetness at the core and inviting depth.
Palate: Seaweed and iodine, joined by tar and ash, building in intensity.
Finish: Long and layered, closing on sea salt.

Best enjoyed neat, with just a drop of water to unlock the full aroma. Collector’s note: whiskies of this age are only growing scarcer. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
