Glenfiddich 26 Years Old Grande Couronne Cognac Finish is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt, still family-owned by William Grant & Sons and famous for its stag emblem.

This release is bottled at 43.8%.

Nose: Floral malt, fresh pear and apple and inviting depth.
Palate: Subtle oak, joined by gentle spice, building in intensity.
Finish: Long and layered, closing on soft vanilla.

Pour it slowly, add a drop of water if you like, and give it time in the glass. Collector’s note: whiskies of this age are only growing scarcer. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
