Glenrothes 1991 is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 1991. It comes from Glenrothes, the Speyside house famous for vintage releases and its distinctive hand-written bottles.
This release is bottled at 43%.
Nose: Citrus zest, vanilla and inviting depth.
Palate: Rounded oak, joined by sherried sweetness, building in intensity.
Finish: Elegant and lingering, closing on cinnamon.
Best enjoyed neat, with just a drop of water to unlock the full aroma. Collector’s note: a bottling with clear collector appeal. A strong candidate for the cabinet as much as the glass.
