Highland Park 15 Years Old Viking Heart is the newest addition to Highland Park’s core range. The 15-year-old single malt is rich and complex with notes of heather honey, cinnamon, fresh pineapple and lemon zest. The whisky matured predominantly in sherry-seasoned European oak, bringing warm and spicy notes, as well as sherry-seasoned American oak casks, providing a balance of sweet vanilla. A couple of refill casks were added to soften and smooth the flavours. Highland Park 15 Years Old Viking Heart comes in a heavily embossed ceramic decanter, inspired by the earthenware vessels in which whisky was stored during the distillery’s early days.
