Kavalan LAN is a Taiwanese single malt whisky. The distillery, founded in 2005, is Taiwan’s trailblazing distillery, whose subtropical climate matures whisky at remarkable speed to world-beating quality. Expect coconut, honey and vanilla cream on an elegant palate. A dram to sip slowly, neat or with just a splash of water. Hints of tropical mango and papaya add further depth as it opens in the glass. Try it alongside blue cheese, dried figs or a square of dark chocolate. One to open on occasions that deserve something better than the everyday.
