Laphroaig Oak Select is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky. It comes from Laphroaig, the most uncompromising of Islay distilleries, whose intensely smoky, medicinal malts inspire devotion worldwide. Expect bold peat smoke, tar and ash and seaweed and iodine on a generous palate. Best savoured neat, though a single cube of ice softens it nicely. With roots going back to 1815, it carries real heritage in every bottle. With time and a drop of water, sea salt comes to the fore. Try it alongside blue cheese, dried figs or a square of dark chocolate. A bottle that earns a permanent place on the home bar.
